There are two ways of overcoming the ever-growing mountain of waste on our planet: the first is ensuring that as little waste as possible is created during production and manufacturing processes. The second is returning the waste that cannot be avoided to the natural cycle by ensuring that they are biodegradable or recycling the raw materials. Sustainability means avoiding waste and conserving resources. This protects both people and the environment in the long term.
The first sustainable tube: sebamed shower gel
In October 2019, the first sebamed product in a sustainable tube was launched onto the market: sebamed shower gel. The tube is made of renewable raw materials. And what's more, the company has managed to reduce the weight of the tube by 25% - another important contribution towards reducing the amount of plastic in the packaging, which, in turn, has a positive impact on the carbon footprint due to the reduced transport weight.
